In April, graphite electrode exports remained flat month-on-month, while demand from Russia increased significantly.
In terms of export destinations, Russia, Turkey, and Brazil remained firmly established this month as my country's primary overseas markets for graphite electrodes, with export volumes to all three regions falling within the same tier. Specifically, exports to Russia totaled 1,600 tons—a substantial month-on-month increase of 176.46%.
Demand in the Turkish market saw a slight pullback, with exports to Turkey amounting to 1,600 tons—a month-on-month decline of 30.57%. Meanwhile, the Brazilian market maintained a steady recovery trajectory, with exports reaching 1,600 tons—a month-on-month increase of 12.81%. Overall, demand across these major export destinations diverged significantly this month; Russia's purchasing activity surged dramatically, emerging as the primary driving force behind regional export growth.
